What is View in Google Analytics?
A view is a level in an Analytics account in which you can access reports and analysis tools. Analytics automatically creates an unfiltered view for each property which you have in your account. However, you can set up multiple views on a single property. Any data which you can automatically send to an Analytics property appears in views which are used with the property.
Parts of View in Google Analytics
Once you create a view, you can edit its settings. Remember that there are more view settings for web properties rather than app properties. In case you are editing a view within an app property, quite a few of them which are listed don’t appear. You will have to edit permission to edit view settings. In order view settings, you will have to sign in Google Analytics. Then, click on Admin and navigate to the exact view in which you want to make change settings.
When you reach the VIEW column, click View Settings. Then go to the General Information, view the name which appears on the list of views. Then, go to the website’s URL, which is the domain name of the website which you are tracking. The time zone or country would be another area which you would intend to use as a day boundary for your reports, irrespective of the origin of the data.

Group Using Rule Definitions allows the usage of rules editor to create simple rules for content identification.
In Google Analytics, Filters are utilized by views for segmenting the Data into smaller groups. Filters can be utilized to find out only particular subsets of traffic, excluding unwanted data or for search and replacement of specific pieces of information.
Calculated Metrics are a type of user-defined metrics. They are computed from existing metrics. It drives more important analysis and ensures greater actionability without you having to leave the product.
